Math Fast Track

The Math Fast Track initiative allows AFUHSD students (and incoming freshmen) to accelerate in the area of mathematics. Please read the information below for more details.

How Does the fast track work?

Below is the current pathway for students entering high school and taking Algebra I in 9th grade:

In this option, students would not be able to take upper-level math courses, such as AP Calculus, AP Statistics, or IB Mathematics. In order to remedy this, the AFUHSD is offering several different options for students:

The Fast Track initiative was implemented to ensure that students who have a strong passion and interest in mathematics get an opportunity to reach college-level courses within their 4 years at the AFUHSD.
